For *Diva, fashion has been a part of her imagination since she was a child. What started as curiosity and a natural instinct for styling has slowly grown into something much bigger *Diva’s, her own design label and a dream she is determined to build with her own hands.
Today, she is a budding designer and an ambitious young creative, currently pursuing her design degree at Drexel University in the USA. Alongside her studies, she is developing her own collections, experimenting with materials, sketching new ideas and learning what it takes to turn an idea on paper into something a person can actually wear and love.
And this is only the beginning.
A Designer’s Journey That Started at 12
One of the sweetest parts of Diva’s story goes back to when she was just 12 years old.
She looked at an ordinary dress belonging to her mother and didn’t see it as an ordinary dress.
She saw possibilities.
With a few pins, accessories and her own draping technique, she transformed the dress into something completely different , an outfit with a sense of style and personality of its own.
It wasn’t a formal fashion project. There was no elaborate studio or professional equipment.
There was simply a young girl experimenting with clothes because she loved the idea of creating something beautiful.
That little experiment stayed with her.
Over the years, that childhood fascination developed into a serious passion for design.
From Student to Designer
Diva is currently pursuing her design degree at Drexel University, USA, while working toward establishing her own label.
She is known among her professors as an excellent student, and her academic journey is helping her bring structure and technical knowledge to the creativity she has always had naturally.
For her, studying design isn’t only about earning a degree. It is about understanding why a garment works, how materials behave, how a design can be constructed, how a person moves in it and how fashion can be both beautiful and practical.
That combination of education and imagination is becoming the foundation of Diva’s.
Introducing Diva’s Leather Collection
One of the first areas where Diva is bringing her ideas to life is leather fashion.
Her collection includes designs for both men and women, with a focus on jackets and other leather products such as leather journals.
Her approach is not about simply making another jacket.
She pays attention to the little things ,the cut, silhouette, placement of zips, detailing, proportions and the overall feel of the piece.
The intention is to create designs that have a high-end, contemporary character, while still being wearable.
And she is only getting started.
Diva hopes to take her designs into the company of established fashion labels as her experience and collection grow.
Fashion With a More Conscious Approach
Another part of Diva’s design philosophy is her interest in more environmentally responsible materials.
Her leather designs are being developed using sustainable, environmentally friendlier leather/material options, with an emphasis on creating fashion that can be enjoyed without ignoring the need for more responsible choices.
For a young designer, this is an important direction.
The future of fashion is not only about what looks good. It is also about asking questions such as:
What are we making? How are we making it? And what kind of impact does it leave behind?
Diva wants those questions to be part of her journey from the very beginning.
And Then There Are the Dresses…
The leather collection is only one chapter.
Diva is also working on a complete collection of dresses, accompanied by her original sketches and design ideas.
Her vision for these pieces is quite personal: clothing that feels different, stylish and fresh, but isn’t restricted to being worn only once or for one particular occasion.
She wants to create pieces that can move with the woman wearing them.
A dress that can be styled one way for an afternoon, changed with accessories for an evening, or given a completely different personality with a jacket, shoes or jewellery.
In other words, more possibilities from one beautiful piece.
Her upcoming collection is intended to bring together creativity, versatility and a strong sense of individuality.
#More Than a Label
What makes Diva’s interesting isn’t only the clothing.
It is the story behind it.
This is a young designer studying, learning, experimenting and trying to build something of her own while pursuing her degree.
Every sketch represents an idea.
